The dotted paper means nothing to you
The quavers, semi-tones, crotchets, it's all names
When you look at the music sheets
You don't hear the different notes,
It all just looks the same!

There's a piece you want to learn
And you make it your goal
It's so pretty, and sounds pretty simple
It's only when you begin to play,
That the complexity takes its toll.

Fairy Floss MachineRandom thoughts spit out from the spinning center,
like fairy floss in a machine.
They collect, strangled, on the peripheries of my mind.
With a swoop of the hand, I gather them just before they escape,
and roll them into one giant ball.
Shove it into a bag, seal it, throw it away.
Once again, I stare back at the center
of this dangerous machine
of spitting thoughts and rational nonsense.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
You are pretty,
But she's prettier than you!

Tulips are pink,
Daisies are white.
Don't worry too much,
You'll soon see the light!

(Why do I have to see the light?? -_-|||)

My heart is broken,
My eyes are red.
You broke your promise,
Let's no longer stead.

After four years,
My debt has been paid.
When in the world,
Did I ever say "stead"?

Back in 2000,
I asked for your hand.
Now you've eloped
With some other man!

Eloped I did,
Deep in the night.
Off running away,
With some better knight!

Where are thou scoundrel
Who stole me lady's heart?
I'll pound ye meat into groundnuts
And kick thy nasty butt!

How dare thou be jealous,
Thou has never treated me right.
Get thy hands off before
I scrunch your neck up tight!

What happened to those times we had,
Beneath the starry sky?
We had so much in common,

Forget all those memories,

I did this long poem with Claire, a close friend of mine. I've known her for four years, so we've terribly close. Well, not close-close, but good-close.

Anyway, we did this together, with her writing a stanza, then me continuing with another and her with another and so on. Her stanzas are in Italics, so it's easier for you to differentiate.

It doesn't really make sense, but hey, it rhymes!! Lol! We did this in class, and phew, good thing the teacher didn't discover it. Hehe! XD
