The patter of feet
Fills these tiny ears.
Grabbed by her thin arm,
Her mother appears.
She follows footsteps,
Keeping all silent.
Not daring to cry,
No longer an infant.
Keep your eyes low, child,
Hurry those two feet.
Orders from Mother,
She tries to be discrete.
Billows of Ma's skirt
Cover her fragile face.
How long before we
Can get out of this place?
Fields zip past as
The train chugs on.
She sits quietly,
With clothes all torn.
We're reaching, child,
We're almost there.
Just a little more.
Say a little prayer.
She closes her eyes
As the bomb falls.
Hands clasped together
As it struck the thin walls.
Pain she didn't feel
Tears she didn't shed.
Now all we can do
Is mourn for a child dead.

The L Word
Look deep into my eyes, before I start to cry.
Listen to my heart, before I truly die.
Lie to me and tell me things will be alright.
Leave and pray to God I make it through the night.
Light up my world and just watch it burn.
Live like you care and have some concern.
Lend me your good nature and hope it prevails.
Learn I'm imperfect and often fail.
Lose your view and see life through me.
Long to be free from chains you now see.
Lean on morals you think you know.
Lessen your faith and watch them go.
Laugh until it hurts and then hurts some more.
Linger in my soul and rip and my core.
Let the laws of life slowly fade away.

Quote
Why are you crying?
**I've lost something**
What did you lose?
**nothing becasue it never existed in the first place**
Than why are you sad?
**becasue nothing was everything I had**

a tale
stolen by the gypsies
you had your hold on me
life was circles and rings
colour fervour parades
on the bandwagon i rode and dangled my feet
as I watched our shadows pass
the tattered mosses of love
seven seasons of birth and death
we lapped at the nectar from the bluebells
and plucked the fruit from the Queen
solstice to solace
a peace beyond heaven
but a darkness came and your ghosts returned
pale thin cold
you reached for me no longer
you shared your bed with the past
making love to the what ifs and coulda beens
and i with pale eyes
looked down the path we
journeyed / painted
found the point where paths divided
and to

It's about the "war" between Israel and Lebanon. It's just so devastating to know that civilians are going to be killed. It's just so unfair. :sigh:
Well, I guess it's good that Israel is allowing civilians to evacuate first, but surely there's no way in preventing the deaths of at least a few.
